Kennebec & Lincoln County food banks​

​

Food banks across the state have been forced to change their operations in order to keep our communities safe while continuing to provide food to local families. Please call ahead before you visit any of these food banks to see if their hours have changed and learn about any safety procedures they have implemented during this crisis.

Kennebec County:

 

  • Loaves and Fishes: Food pantry in Albion. 

    • Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:30 AM - 11 AM, Also open 5 PM - 7 PM on the 1st and 3rd Friday.

  • Augusta Food Bank: A program for people from Augusta and Manchester who need food. Food is served Monday through Wednesday. Call in advance to sign up for an appointment.

    • Hours: Monday-Thursday 12:30 PM-2 PM, open 5 PM-7 PM on the 2nd Wednesday.

  • Bread of Life Ministries Soup Kitchen: Serving lunch in Augusta

  • Hallowell Food Bank: Food bank open to residents of Hallowell. Clients may go to the food bank once a month and need a referral slip from the City Hall which are available on Fridays from 11:30 AM - 1 PM. Call the City Hall to schedule an appointment during that window.

  • North Monmouth Food Pantry:

  • North Vassalboro

    • Vassalboro Food Station Pantry: Free food assistance for residents of Vassalboro. New clients must call ahead to complete an application over the phone.

  • Oakland Food Pantry: Food pantry offering Oakland residents one box of food each month.

  • Sidney Food Pantry:

  • Waterville:

  • Greater Waterville Area Food Bank: Photo identification and proof of residency (a piece of mail) are required for new clients. New clients must visit during screening hours before they can receive food during food bank hours.

  • Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen: Serving lunch meals five days a week in Waterville
